January Class ~ 16th at 1 PM

Hope your Christmas was as good as mine! My daughter and son in law were here. We had our entire family under one roof for the first time in a very, very long time :) And of course, our little Kayleigh, m great neice (with her new "Aunt Becky" bib :). And I pray your New Year will be very blessed as you follow our Father's leading day by day.
Our January class will be the 16th at 1 PM here at my house. As requested, we will be making the screen door card (see earlier post of ) and we will be making the easel card. These are both very fun to make :) Here's my latest easel card, and you will love this new paper packet "Veranda", along with many new stamp sets! All you need to bring are your cutters, scissors, adhesive, and if you have an exacto knife, that will be helpful to you.

Trust you are all fasting today??? I ate way to much yesterday, but it was so very, very good! Don't know if you can see it very well, but there is prism glitter on the rectangle with the tree. Got this technique from watching a video on line. Actually saw one on a much bigger scale on the Scrapbooking show on DIY a few years ago. It's super simple and adds so much to your artwork. We'll have to remember this one for next year's Christmas workshop!

November Class ~ Nov. 14th at 1 PM

Hello great ladies of paper crafting! Are you ready for a new technique? I can hardly wait to show you this new one. It's called "tri shutter" cards. Here are a few examples. But be careful, it's highly addictive!!
We'll also be using this month's SOTM. Haven't decided which card we'll make yet, because I've really been using this set and LOVE the little house! But here's a couple just to whet you're appitite.....

Remember Rachel in your prayers and thoughts. Her father passed away in Clovis last Friday. She will need our support and love more than ever now.
My daughter, Amber, will be here for Christmas, and am hoping she can show me how to manage the placement of the photos and text. I'll get it eventually :)

Oct. 13, 2009 Love that Flower Soft!

Have discovered a fairly new product on the market called "Flower Soft". You can see all the colors on the "Our Daily Bread Designs" website. (check out the right side bar of my favorites ) You can do so much with it, and it is so super simple to use. If you can glue, you can use flower soft. Here are a few of the cards I've made the last few days. Enjoy!!

Fun afternoon in late September!

Ok, I've spent the whole day playing with the tri shutter cards! Oh, my! What fun they are to make! I went to Splitcoast Stampers this morning and watched the tutorial, then away we go!! They are the same size as our regular cards when they're folded up. We will just have to make these a "must make" soon! I'm back to my table to make some more!!

Scrapbook in a Wallet

Here are the pictures for our Sept. class. We'll be making a scrapbook in a wallet. It makes a great gift for a baby, wedding, or a grandma (like Teresa my dsil who became a grandma this afternoon!! Congrats to Bradley and April on the birth of my first great neice, Kayleigh Lynn!) You can use any paper packet for the wallet, and embellish to your heart's desire.

It's also time to start thinking about Christmas gifts for those special people in your life. We'll be having a Christmas workshop on October 17th with some really cool ideas!

And the September SOM is wonderful! We'll all talk about date and time for our Septebmer card class. Be thinking about either 12th at 1 PM or Saturday Septebmer 26th at 1 pm, or we could even do a Sunday afternoon class if that's better for the group. Guess Friday nights are out for football season :)

Be in prayer for Judy & her husband, Billy Joe. Their grandson was hurt seriously in an ATV accident last night. Looks like he may be in for a lengthly stay in the hospital with many broken bones. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys!

Class change ~ July 25 ~ 1 pm

Hey there! Wanted to let you know that we've changed class day to the 25th. That will give me another week to "re-coop" after after treatments. Also, we'll be having the memory box workshop on August 22, so be thinking about what paper packet you would like to use. I've attached the two memory boxes that I've made. The silhouette one is for my parents' 60th anniversary next month. The notebook paper packet one is of my paternal grandmother. We'll get the memory boxes ordered with the next class. Hope you all had a great 4th of July! Here's a picture of my sweet daughter and I after Macbeth last week. I was so proud of her! She did an awesome job as Lady Macbeth!
